PHOTO PREPARATION GUIDE

Please have the property fully prepared prior to the appointment so the photographer may focus solely on creating great images within the allotted timeframe. Below are some general guidelines:


General

  • Clear counters of non-essential items, assorted paperwork and any personal décor

  • Replace personal photos and knickknacks with non-specific art or décor. Remove moving boxes & other storage containers

  • Open all blinds in the house uniformly - replace broken ones

  • Turn on all interior and exterior lights - replace bulbs as needed Turn off televisions, computers, and ceiling fans

Exterior

  • Mow grass and trim shrubs as needed. Blow leaves and place fresh mulch

  • Remove all cars from your driveway and park inside a garage or down the street

  • Blow-off hard surfaces including sidewalks, driveways, stairs, porches, patios and decks

  • Put away hoses, hose reels, sprinklers and any garbage bins

  • Remove covers from well-maintained grills and smokers; Cover neglected ones

KITCHEN

  • Remove all items from the refrigerator doors, sides and top

  • Put away all dishes, dish towels and paper towels

  • Decorate with a bowl of fresh fruit or a small bouquet of flowers

BEDROOMS

  • Remove all personal items and decor, including framed family photos

  • Clear all counters

  • Organize / tidy closet space

Bathrooms

  • Remove all personal-care items from showers, bathtubs, and counters

  • Replace towels and washcloths with clean, fluffy, white towels

  • Remove all loofahs, robes, floor mats, toilet covers and scales

PLAY rooms

  • Organize smaller toys & books into cute baskets or wicker bins

  • Remove large toys, Pack ‘n Plays, & large play tables

  • Remove décor with visible names of children

Pets

  • Make your home appear as if it is pet free by removing food dishes, pet beds, toys, scratching posts, etc.

  • Please ensure that pets are not present during the photo shoot
